FSLX / FSTX - SHELL & TUBE CONDENSERS
For Fresh Water Condenser Applications
3 to 150 tons

Doucette's FSLX / FSTX condenser is a very efficient and compact fresh water Shell and Tube Condenser. This ruggedly constructed shell and tube condenser is based on high efficiency tubes which offer superior performance in a more compact size.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

     1. HIGH EFFICIENCY The FSLX / FSTX is more compact because the condenser uses high efficiency copper tubes, which provide 30% to 40% more heat transfer efficiency than conventional low-fin tubes. This makes the FSLX / FSTX smaller than older shell and tube designs, yet with the same or better performance.

     2. APPLICATION FLEXIBILITY The FSLX / FSTX Condenser is designed for typical condenser applications, yet offers full line flexibility. Because of it's small compact size, the FSLX / FSTX is ideal for replacement applications and custom refrigeration packages. With Doucette support, application assistance is just a phone call away.

     3. QUALITY CONSTRUCTION All FSLX / FSTX models are ASME Construction, Section VIII, Division 1, "U" or "UM" stamped as required. Removable cast iron heads allow for easy mechanical cleaning. All Tubes are expansion rolled into double grooved tube sheets. FSL Refrigerant Design Pressure is 400 psi at 250 degrees F; Waterside is 300 psi at 150 degrees F. FST Refrigerant Design Pressure is 350 psi at 250 degrees F; Waterside is 150 psi at 150 degrees F. Refrigerant gas inlet and liquid outlet are ODF Sweat Connections. Water Connections are FPT up to 3" and flanged for connections 4" and larger. Every unit is factory tested prior to shipment.

Dimensional Drawings and Tables, as well as a "Nominal Selections" Guide for the FSLX / FSTX models can be obtained by downloading our 8 page SHELL & TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER brochure.

For Marine Condenser Applications
5 to 130 tons

Doucette's MSTX condenser is a very efficient and compact Marine Shell and Tube Condenser. This ruggedly constructed shell and tube condenser is based on high efficiency tubes which offer superior performance in a more compact size.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

     1. COMPACT The MSTX is more compact because the condenser uses high efficiency copper tubes, which provide 30% to 40% more heat transfer efficiency than conventional low-fin tubes. This makes the MSTX smaller than older shell and tube designs, yet with the same or better performance.

     2. MARINE APPLICATIONS The MSTX is designed for fishing boat refrigeration, tankers, cruise ships, and off-shore drilling applications. In addition, it has U.S. Navy and USCG approval. The MSTX has proven, successful experience in marine and brackish water environments.

     3. OEM and REPLACEMENT The MSTX Marine Condenser is ideal for custom refrigeration packages and condenser replacement situations. Because the MSTX is more compact than older designs, it takes up less space, thus making the MSTX a service engineer's choice for field replacements.

     4. RUGGED CONSTRUCTION Unlike other designs, the MSTX uses 90/10 cupronickel tubes and 90/10 cupronickel tube sheets, and cast bronze heads... the appropriate materials for long life and rugged use in sea water environments. All models are ASME construction; Section VIII, Division 1, "U" or "UM" stamped as required. All tubes are expansion rolled into double grooved tube sheets. Removable bronze heads allow for easy mechanical cleaning. Refrigerant Design Pressure is 350 psi at 250 degrees F. Waterside is 150 psi at 150 degrees F. All MSTX Condensers have single gas inlet, two liquid outlets with ODF sweat connections. Water Connections are FPT up to 3" and flanged for 4" and larger. Every unit is factory tested prior to shipment.

Additional detailed information, including Drawings, Tables and a Selection Guide for the MSTX models is available by downloading our 8 page SHELL & TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER brochure.

For Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Applications
5 to 250 tons

Doucette's CBXX/CBX Chiller Barrels offer the best choice for replacement and custom applications for air conditioning and refrigeration requirements. Based on high performance, enhanced tubes, the CBXX/CBX Series is a very efficient and reliable direct expansion liquid chiller.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

     1. HIGH PERFORMANCE The Doucette CBXX/CBX Series uses high performance, enhanced copper tubes which provide the highest heat transfer efficiency. Combined with optimally placed water baffles, this design avoids freeze-ups and allows for a wide range of applications.

     2. APPLICATION FLEXIBILITY The CBXX/CBX Series is rated for nominal conditions, 35 degrees F suction, 44 degrees F leaving water temperature, 2.4 gpm per ton. Because of the high performance tubes, the CBXX/CBX is also applicable to low temperature glycol applications.

     3. OEM and REPLACEMENT Because the CBXX/CBX is a high efficiency design, it is ideal for replacement applications due to it's smaller size. For custom refrigeration and air conditioning packages, the CBXX/CBX is designed for simple packaging.

     4. QUALITY CONSTRUCTION All models are ASME construction, Section VIII, Division 1, "U" or "UM" stamped as required. The CBXX/CBX has a carbon steel shell with terne-plated steel baffles for added corrosion resistance. All copper tubes are expansion rolled into double grooved tube sheets. The Design Refrigerant Pressure is 200 psi at 100 degrees F; the Design Waterside Pressure is 150 psi at 120 degrees F. Refrigerant connections are steel, bored to ODS copper tubing. Removable heads allow for servicing the refrigerant tube side. Water connections up to 3" are FPT and flanged for 4" and larger. Thermowell, vent and drain connections are provided with 3/4" FPT fittings. Every unit is factory tested prior to shipment. All models come with standard 3/4" insulation.

Additional detailed information, including Drawings, Tables and a Selection Guide for the CBXX/CBX models can be obtained by downloading our 8 page SHELL & TUBE HEAT EXCHANGER brochure.
